How to Get Text Message Records From Xfinity Mobile

Short answer
In the Xfinity app or your Xfinity Mobile account you can see the last three months of call and text details for every line on the account: dates, times and numbers. Xfinity says nothing older is available there and that it doesn't store the content of text messages. For someone else's records, Comcast's guidance says civil requests go through its registered agent and need a judge-signed court order, not an attorney-signed subpoena. The words are on the phones, so download the log now and export the conversation.
Three months goes quickly. If the dates matter, save them before they drop off.
Your own history
- Sign in to your Xfinity Mobile account with your Xfinity ID and select the Activity tab.
- Select Manage Plan for the line, then Texts or Calls.
- Primary and Manager users can also open Billing, View statements, then a bill, the line, and Calls or Messages.
- It covers the last three months, for all lines on the account; Xfinity says older details aren't available.
- It shows dates, times and phone numbers. Xfinity says it doesn't store the content of any text messages.
Someone else's records
- Comcast's guidance says it can provide Xfinity Mobile call detail records and text message details: date, time and recipient numbers.
- It says text message content, if available, must be sought from Verizon, whose network Xfinity Mobile uses.
- For civil matters, requests go through its registered agent, CSC Global; it says attorney-signed subpoenas are not enough, and that it needs a judge-signed court order that gives the subscriber notice and a chance to object.
