Terms of Service
Last updated: June 20, 2026
1. Acceptance
By using Verity ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users including attorneys, their staff, and individuals accessing client portals.
2. Description of Service
Verity is a forensic conversation analysis tool. It processes uploaded chat exports to detect behavioral patterns, score relationship health, and generate PDF reports. The Service is intended to support licensed legal professionals as a documentation and evidence-organization tool.
Important: Verity reports are not a substitute for expert witness testimony, clinical diagnosis, or legal advice. Reports identify statistical behavioral patterns and should be reviewed by qualified professionals before use in legal proceedings.
3. Accounts and Subscriptions
Pro accounts require a valid payment method. Subscriptions are billed monthly at $299/month after a 7-day free trial. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account with other attorneys outside of your firm's invited team members.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload conversation data that you do not have legal authorization to analyze
- Use the Service to harass, stalk, or harm any individual
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the Service
- Misrepresent Verity reports as clinical diagnoses or official government documents
- Upload content that violates applicable wiretapping or privacy laws in your jurisdiction
5. Confidentiality
You are responsible for the confidentiality of any client data you upload or store in Verity. Conversation content is processed in-browser and not stored on our servers. Report data stored in your Pro account is protected by row-level security. You must comply with applicable attorney-client privilege and data protection obligations.
6. Intellectual Property
The Verity platform, analysis engine, and all UI are proprietary. Reports generated using your data are yours. You grant us no license to your client data beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is." We make no warranties about the accuracy or completeness of behavioral pattern detection. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Verity is not liable for any harm resulting from decisions made based on generated reports, including but not limited to legal outcomes, custody determinations, or personal safety decisions.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before deletion to allow export, unless you request immediate deletion.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
