How to Download an OurFamilyWizard Message Report (PDF)
Reviewed by Jacob Reed, founder of Verity ·
OurFamilyWizard keeps every message between co-parents, but the record only becomes something you can hand to a lawyer or a court when you download it as a Message report. The report is a PDF, it can cover everything since the account was opened, and OurFamilyWizard says it cannot be produced in the mobile app: you have to sign in on the website.
How to download every message
1.Sign in on the website
Go to ourfamilywizard.com in a browser and sign in. The report button is not in the phone app.
2.Open Messages and choose All Messages
Click Messages in the main menu, then select the All Messages folder. It holds everything sent and received on your account.
3.Click the Report icon
It is at the top of the message window and looks like a downward arrow with a line under it. A Download Messages window opens.
4.Choose the range
Select All In Folder for everything since the account was created, or Within Date Range and enter the From and To dates.
5.Set the options and download
Choose the sort order and the other options described below, then click Download. A short report downloads straight away as a PDF. A very large one is prepared in the background, and you will find it later in a message titled Report Generated in your Notifications folder.
Which options to choose
- Sort messages oldest to newest. A reader then follows the conversation in the order it happened.
- Include the official OurFamilyWizard header. It marks the document as a report produced by the service.
- Message replies: if you selected the All Messages folder, the replies are already in it, and OurFamilyWizard notes that including them again may be redundant.
- Attachments are delivered separately in a folder, not inside the PDF. Include them only if you need the files.
- New page per message makes a much longer document. It helps if individual messages will be used as exhibits.
- Private messages with your Professional are left out by default. Those can include messages with your own attorney, so ask your attorney before you include them in anything you plan to share.
Downloading only some messages
To report on a few messages, open the folder they are in, tick the box beside each one, and click the same Report icon. To download a single message, open it and click the Report icon. A selective report is useful for an exhibit, but a court or the other side may ask what was left out, so keep a full report as well.
What the report gives you
Each message appears with who sent it and when. OurFamilyWizard also records when a message was first viewed, which people often misread; OurFamilyWizard’s First-Viewed Timestamps: What They Actually Prove explains what that time does and does not show.
Download the report again close to any hearing. A report is a snapshot: messages sent after you made it are not in it.
These steps follow OurFamilyWizard’s own help article as it read in October 2026. If the screens have changed, that article is the place to check.
Reading the report with Verity
Verity reads an OurFamilyWizard message report as it is. Drop the PDF on the upload box and it is read in your browser, without being uploaded, to show the communication patterns across the whole history. A long report may take a minute to open. If yours does not open, use the help form that appears under the upload box and a person will write back.

This is general information, not legal advice. Verity is not a law firm, and requirements for authenticating a digital record vary by court — talk to an attorney about what your case specifically needs.
