CoAdvocate.ai vs. Verity
Reviewed by Jacob Reed, founder of Verity ·
Short answer
CoAdvocate.ai is a place for your co-parenting messages from now on: an email-based address your co-parent writes to, kept as a record neither of you can change, with AI that rates each message and checks your tone before you reply. It is free, or $14.99 a month for more AI help. Verity reads the conversations you already had in other apps, in your browser, and gives you a dated record for one-time prices. They solve different halves of the problem, and some parents could use both.
Most co-parents have two problems at once: years of history scattered across texts and apps, and the next message that is about to arrive. CoAdvocate is built for the second; Verity for the first.
1.What each one is built to do
CoAdvocate.ai
Carry your co-parenting messages from now on. You get a permanent CoAdvocate address; your co-parent writes to it by email, with nothing to install. Messages are kept as a timestamped record that neither parent can change or delete, and AI summarizes each one, rates how tense and urgent it is, and notes whether it pulls the children in.
Verity
Organize the conversation you already had, in whatever app it happened: the patterns across months of messages, each flagged message quoted with its date, and a numbered list of every message, for a lawyer or a hearing.
2.What it reads
CoAdvocate.ai
Messages that arrive at your CoAdvocate address, plus a parenting plan or court order you upload, which it quotes when a message touches pickups, holidays, money or decisions.
Verity
Exports of past conversations from WhatsApp, iPhone, Android, Messenger, Instagram, Gmail, Telegram and more, OurFamilyWizard and TalkingParents PDF records, and screenshots.
3.Help with replying
CoAdvocate.ai
An AI tone check flags a line that could start a fight, explains why and offers a calmer version, with drafting help and questions about your plan. A private AI companion is kept out of the record and deletes itself after 48 hours to 7 days.
Verity
The free text check marks the wording in their message that matches gaslighting, DARVO, threats or control, offers a calm reply template you fill in (fixed templates, no AI), and lets you check your own draft before you send it. It runs in your browser.
4.Where your messages go
CoAdvocate.ai
Stored by CoAdvocate. Its privacy policy (effective October 13, 2026) lists Anthropic and OpenAI for AI processing, Voyage AI for text embeddings and Amazon Textract for reading documents, says data may be stored in the United States and other countries, and says the message record is kept as a legal record, including after you close your account.
Verity
The file is read and analyzed in your browser. The messages are not uploaded, including when you buy. No account.
5.Working with your lawyer
CoAdvocate.ai
Your attorney, mediator or counselor can get access you grant to your record, and export exhibit packets with an integrity statement. On Premium, a records-custodian declaration can be added to a certified court export.
Verity
You hand your lawyer the PDFs. Attorneys who want to run cases themselves can use Verity Pro.
6.Price and platforms
CoAdvocate.ai
Free with no time limit (address, inbox, calendar, record, a starter allowance of AI help, 1 GB). Premium $14.99 a month or $149.99 a year. Web and Android; iOS listed as coming soon.
Verity
Free text check and preview. One-time: $19 numbered message list, $99 Standard report, $149 Detailed report. No subscription. Works in any phone or computer browser.
Which one fits your situation?
If you want future messages in one recorded place, your co-parent will write to an email address, and you are comfortable with AI services reading the messages, CoAdvocate is built for that, much as OurFamilyWizard is compared with regular texting. If what matters now is the history you already have in texts, WhatsApp or Messenger, if you would rather the messages never leave your device, or if you want one record without a subscription, Verity fits better.
For the next message, our free text check marks the wording that matches warning patterns and suggests a calm reply, and our guide to how family courts view co-parenting communication explains why short, factual replies help. For the history, start from a full export: step-by-step guides for each app.
Whichever you use, read what it flags yourself. Tone ratings and pattern flags read words, not people; the methodology page has our own numbers.
This is general information, not legal advice, and Verity is not a law firm. We make Verity, so weigh what we say about it accordingly. CoAdvocate.ai's features, prices and data handling are as its own site, pricing page and privacy policy (effective October 13, 2026) described them on October 23, 2026, and can change; check coadvocate.ai before relying on them.
