Textimony vs. Verity

Short answer

Both read a whole exported conversation and tie each flagged item back to the message, sender and time. Textimony is a sign-in workspace, free for a limited time, where the analysis runs on its servers and you accept or dismiss each item before building a report. Verity needs no account for its preview and reads the conversation in your browser, so it is not uploaded; its reports and numbered message list are one-time purchases.

Of the tools people compare with Verity, Textimony is one of the closest: both are built for thousands of messages rather than one. The differences are about where the work happens and how much reviewing you want to do yourself.

1.What each one is built to do

Textimony

A review workspace for long message records. A series of trained models flags candidate issues such as harassment, threats, coercion, custody interference and boundary events; you then review each one in context and build a report. It is aimed at legal teams and advocates as well as individuals.

Verity

A pattern report and a numbered record of one conversation, for a parent or partner preparing for a lawyer or a hearing. A separate attorney portal, Verity Pro, serves law firms.

2.How you give it your messages

Textimony

Sign in, create a case, and import a supported conversation export.

Verity

No account: drop the export, or screenshots, into the upload box.

3.Where your messages go

Textimony

Uploaded to your case. Its site describes the analysis as server-side, with cases, uploads and reports scoped to the signed-in owner.

Verity

The file is read and analyzed in your browser. The messages are not uploaded, including when you buy.

4.Reviewing what was flagged

Textimony

Built around review: open the surrounding messages, accept or dismiss each candidate, and rebuild the report after review.

Verity

The preview and reports list each flagged message with its date for you to reread. There is no accept-or-dismiss step inside Verity.

5.Keeping the record checkable

Textimony

Records a checksum of the source file before processing and keeps a run manifest with each report.

Verity

The numbered message list records a SHA-256 fingerprint of the original export file and can stamp each page with a prefix and number.

6.Price

Textimony

Free for a limited time, with every feature included. Sign-in required.

Verity

Free preview. One-time: $19 numbered message list, $99 Standard report, $149 Detailed report. No account.

Which one fits your situation?

If you want to work through every flagged item yourself, or you review records for clients, and you are comfortable with the conversation being uploaded, Textimony's workspace is built for that and currently costs nothing. If you would rather the conversation never leave your device, or you need a numbered printout for your lawyer today without making an account, Verity does that. Both leave relevance and admissibility to you, your lawyer and the court. For the wider field, see apps that check text messages for manipulation.

This is general information, not legal advice, and Verity is not a law firm. We make Verity. Textimony's features, price and data handling are as its own site described them on October 20, 2026, and can change; check textimony.io before relying on them.
